Mobile Maintenance Engineer - Plumber

Location : New Craigs Hospital, Inverness

Contract - Full time Permanent

What you'll do:

• To undertake planned and responsive plumbing work either independently or supervised
• To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group.
• To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools
• To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety
• Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with
• legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
• To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities
• The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
• To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
• To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the RFM Contracts Manager or sub-contractors of any follow up action that may be required.
• To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.
• Full compliance of handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM’s management system

What you'll need:

• The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach
• Previous maintenance experience working in FM environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure
• Dedication and ambition to develop within the role
• Computer literate and numerate
• To be capable of multi-tasking
• Must hold full driving licence. NVQ Level 2 or higher in plumbing
• Extensive experience of property maintenance gained in either the public or private sector
• ACS Commercial and Catering gas qualification, refrigeration experience is an advantage
• Full Drivers Licnece + Access to a car. 

The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check
