P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Picker/Packer to join their team based in Lowestoft on a full-time, temporary basis.

This role will be working as part of the mail order team to ensure customer orders are completed in line with key targets and deadlines, following all departmental and company policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

• Picking/packing and/or despatching products to despatch paperwork, drawings and product schedules.
• Responsible for own quality checks.
• Optimising own time and resources to satisfy customer demand, in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Awareness and understanding for department Health & Safety Issues, ensuring adherence to the Company Health & Safety policy and procedures at all times.

Person Specification:

• Good hand to eye coordination.
• Good practical skills for using plant, tools & equipment (where training has been carried out).
• Capable of undertaking repetitive tasks.
• Desire to exceed targets.
• Team worker.
• Pays attention to detail.
• Confident to ask for help when needed.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and to work as part of a team.
• Flexible and receptive to change.
• Takes responsibility for decisions, professional and passionate.
• Able to work accurately within timescales.

Education & Experience:

• Good standard of education GCSE grades A-C for Maths and English.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Working hours:

• Monday – Friday 40 hours per week, flexibility will be required during peak trading periods.
