About the role
We have an outstanding opportunity available for a Landlord and Tenant Surveyor to join our team and be a part of a growing culture working collaboratively with Tesco colleagues utilising your expertise skills and experience to deliver outstanding opportunities within the Tesco trading estate.
You will be responsible for
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities:
- Balancing outstanding delivery for customers on what matters, engaging teams and colleagues with the needs of the business by being the first layer of management for projects.
- Collaborating internally and externally to support functional delivery of targeted cost/rent savings to the business
- Using your technical expertise to deliver allocated case load within rent review, lease renewal and re-gear programmes in the Tesco and head office portfolios
- Leading external consultants tasked with protecting business trading presence and delivering and minimising a rent budget
- Collaborating with Property Strategy and Location Planning, Format, Development and Finance teams to ensure lease events are aligned to long-term trading strategy

You will need
Skills and experience relevant for this role:
- RICS Qualification (MRICS)
- Excellent knowledge of the retail market and the L&T Act 1954 and proven track record of working in a Landlord and Tenant capacity.
- Experience of working for a national retailer would be beneficial.
- Experience of leases and lease mechanisms
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and leasehold valuation.
- Excellent Communicator both written and verbal with strong negotiation skills
