6-7 months contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
· The successful candidate will be expected to support a range of schools based on the individual support the school has purchased.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
· Provide Transactional support – payments, month end reconciliation, VAT submittal.
· Give Strategic support – analysis of budgets and spend, including reporting to Governing Body and or headteachers.
· Supporting the school to develop Deficit recovery plans.
· Help in Implementing of new finance systems -training.
· To work their own initiative but strike a balance between feedback to senior management is essential.
Essential Experience Required:
· Experience of managing Schools Funding is required.
· Experience of engaging with stakeholders using persuasive language not confrontational is essential.
· Experience of working under pressure, juggling various priorities and timelines is essential.
Essential Qualifications Required:
· Expertise in at least one of the following systems – ACCESS, RM, Sims/FMS, is required.
· Strong IT skills with an ability to collate data into information, is essential.
Additional information to note:
· Working hours: 35 hours per week.
· The role has a potential of being a hybrid role depending on the individual schools needs, requiring schools’ visits.
