Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
The primary focus of the role is to improve the national commercial development of Main Contractor Relationships to meet the strategic development needs of Kawneer UK Ltd.
This role supports each Architectural Advisor in their objective of delivering the sales revenue plan for core and new customers.
Specific duties include:
- Taking overall responsibility for maintenance and development of Kawneer’s Main Contractor Relationships
- Take a lead role in negotiating renewal agreements with these Contractors
- Identify new Agreements with high potential and take a lead in securing these agreements
- Develop a strategy to increase our project pipeline levels with these Agreements and work with the AA’s to increase conversion rates.
- Generally co-ordinate the Sales Team to support our Strategy
- Attend monthly reviews with Main Contractor Package Managers, completing all necessary monthly reporting required by that Contractor
- Obtain monthly pipeline reports from all main main contractor supply chain partners
- Identify specific high value opportunities for Kawneer products, ensuring that the CRM is updated with any relevant information for the AA’s
- Personally lead negotiations on projects with a metal value over £500k
- Cascade other opportunities to AA’s and work with them to ensure successful follow up
- Open Doors into Regional Offices for AA’s
- Facilitate and Co-Ordinate Kawneer Training of Main Contractor Staff
- Provide VE (Value Engineering) seminars to key design team members within each main contractor
- Monitor the project conversion ratio with each main contractor
- Provide the Sales & Marketing Director with a monthly report with a summary of key activities to maximize revenue potential through our main contractor relationships.
Key Objectives - Meet and exceed the Invoiced Sales Targets for Main Contractor Agreements nationally.
- Achieve target project pipeline values and monthly pipeline KPI’s for Main Contractors.
- Weekly report
- Providing support and direction to sales team on the effective commercial development of Main Contractor Frameworks.
- Attendance of monthly commercial review meetings.
- Attend Dealer Reviews with AA’s
- Preparing slides for the Monthly BU Review
Qualifications
Technical Skills/Educational Background
- Relevant experience in the construction industry
- 3 – 5 years sales experience working for a main contractor preferable
- Basic understanding of finance principles i.e. P&l account, balance sheet.
- Good understanding of business management
- Understanding of the supply chain in construction
- Understanding of the construction processes
- Have had experience of managing complex customer relationships whilst increasing business levels
- Technical product knowledge
- IT literate
This is a national role which will require travel around the UK, in addition to attending our Runcorn site when necessary.
