Kenton Black Scientific is a recruitment partner to a global food testing laboratory based in Cambridgeshire. In this role you will be leading the food chemistry testing laboratories on a day to day basis.
Responsibilities
Responsible to running day to day activities within the food chemistry/ food testing
Responsible for quality management and method development
Provide training to new staff members
Manage all laboratory activities including staff management, recruitment and monitor KPIs
Makes effective decisions about creative ideas and how to implement them
Ensure all team members are performing duties/tests according ISO17025 guidelines
Qualifications
Degree in science or equivalent
Excellent experience in using food contaminants testing techniques such as GC-MS, LC-MS
Understanding of ISO, UKAS, audit procedures and methods.
Proven operational experience and team management within food chemistry testing laboratory
Good laboratory skills and practices as well as chemistry techniques
Proven project management skills and experience, lean production principles
