An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Housing Services where you will work within the Technical Team visiting our existing Housing Stock to carry out technical inspections/stock surveys/measured and energy surveys whilst working on capital investment projects such as kitchens & bathroom replacements, disabled adaptations, energy improvement works etc. You may also be involved in new build construction sites, major refurbishments and adaptations, listed building works etc.
You will learn how to work to all the various Council Standards, including Health & Safety, Customer Service, Administration and carry out other duties as required for the Service. As a Modern Apprentice, you will initially work towards an NC in Built Environment and a relevant SVQ. In 3rd and 4th year you will work towards the HNC in either Building Surveying or Construction Management.
You will be 16-19 years old (or an official summer leaver 2024). This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced.
