We have an exciting position available for an experienced Business Development Executive to join a very reputable, family run SME based in Perth, Scotland . This is an exciting time to join as the business continues to grow and succeed.
With an existing base of valuable clients and a well-established brand, they are looking to grow their sales function and generate new business within the construction industry. You will be passionate about sales, make outbound calls to new and existing customers to build business relationships, generate new end-user customers, and maximize sales opportunities. This is a “Hunter and Farmer” role that requires a lot of new business prospecting and nurturing of existing business.

Key duties and responsibilities...
- Generating new business/interest as part of the telemarketing/sales process to win new customers who are using diamond-cutting consumable products.
- Growing sales and relationships with upselling to existing customers.
- Some initial field contact may be required with specific clients
- Be part of the marketing strategy by sending out emails and samples where necessary
- Generate interest using company promotions and customer referrals.
- Follow up on leads
- Developing a pipeline of potential new clients
Requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience in a telesales or account management role is essential
- Ability to overcome rejection
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
- Construction industry knowledge is desirable, but not critical
- Good negotiation skills with the ability to identify additional sales opportunities
- Passion and drive to succeed in a sales environment.
- The ability to build and maintain excellent relationships.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and databases and CRM
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude and accuracy.
Benefits
- Salary- £25,000- £27,000 plus uncapped OTE (Expected minimum 36k in year 1)
