Job description

Academics are currently seeking to appoint a skilled, experienced Learning Support Assistant for a full-time position in a lovely school situated in Llantwit Major.

The selected candidate will be assigned to a Year 1 class, providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, along with some general Teaching Assistant responsibilities.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm).

Location: Llantwit Major, The Vale of Glamorgan

Duties:

The duties for this Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role include both individual 1:1 support and general Teaching Assistant (TA) responsibilities.

* The appointed LSA is dedicated to providing individualised assistance to a specific student, addressing their unique learning needs.

* This involves tailored guidance encouragement and assistance in academic and personal development.

* General TA duties will include to contributing to the overall classroom environment and learning experiences.

* Assisting the class teacher in various day-to-day activities such as assisting with classroom management, implanting behaviour strategies, and contributing to the overall well-being of students.

* A Learning Support Assistant in this role will have knowledge and experience of working within a Primary School environment.

To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant role, you must:

* Be registered with the EWC
* Hold an Enhanced DBS check
* Previous experience working within a Primary School environment.
* Local to Llantwit Major or able to easily commute
