Location: Leicester City Center
Salary: £80 - £110 per day
Start Date: Immediately

GSL Education are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic
Secondary Cover Supervisor to work at a thriving Alternative Provision in
Leicester City, starting immediately. The position is full-time and is suited to Graduates considering a career in the education sector, experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant or those considering becoming an Education Psychologist in the future.
About the School: - A specialist setting for 5–16-year-olds with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

- Facilities at the school include a Skills Centre, a single base unit for complex primary pupils, a walled garden, a woodland conservation area and a sports field.
- There are also outreach intervention centres sited in mainstream schools around the City of York. These intervention centres are for their Kestrel programme, which is designed for pupils who require a short-term provision to support them in their mainstream school.
- The School aims to help young people strive to develop positive behaviours and constructive attitudes and to overcome barriers to learning.
- They aim to teach young people to achieve academically and socially – all of their pupils have different starting points and experiences of school when they join.
Secondary Cover Supervisor Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with an EHCP for SEMH, reinforcing learning objectives and promoting independent thinking.
- To support the class teacher in the delivery of a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or play-based learning curriculum at KS4.
- To work in partnership with other support staff, teachers, and outside agencies to ensure each child receives the best education and support.
- To track progress and developmental markers.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning.
