Finance Assistant
Required immediately
Term-time only
£ 22,475 – 24,193 FTE
Pro-rata £ 19,335 – £ 20,813
Pay award pending 1st April 2024We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual, ideally with purchase ledger experience, to join our vibrant and supportive team. Your previous experience will enable you to effectively undertake a variety of essential tasks in ensuring the efficiency of our school finance operations.

The role will comprise of, but is not limited to, activities and responsibilities such as:
• The effective administration of requisition and order processing.
• Ensuring the efficient input and processing of invoices.
• Responsibility for overseeing and actioning of communications to the Finance department.
• Undertaking regular banking administration tasks.
• Interacting with school staff, suppliers, agencies and parents as necessary.
• General administration tasks for the department.Applicants must have a flexible approach to work, be of smart appearance and have excellent IT and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Previous experience within a financial background and a knowledge of basic financial principles is essential. Ideally, experience within an education background is desirable. Full training on school systems will be provided, if required.
