We are looking for a Technician who is agile and innovative to join our BSU , based in Slough, UK .
About the role
Opportunity for an experienced licensed animal technician to join a multi-disciplinary unit in a leading research establishment.
The Special Facility Unit (SFU/BSU) plays a crucial role in UCB’s drug discovery platform. When it is necessary to conduct in-vivo experiments, we are dedicated to provide the highest welfare standards and always consider ethical implications. The staff in the unit are specialists in providing practical in-vivo support and advise for scientists, as well as providing an outstanding environment and care for the animals housed.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
Knowledge of Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act
Home Office License Holder PIL A-B
Experience of working with rodents and enthusiasm for animal welfare
Competent in a variety of licensed procedures and a desire to continue learning.
Able to work as a team, with a flexible approach and able to work additional hours when required, this will include occasional weekends/bank holidays
NACWO qualifications or a willing to achieve.
