Our client is a noted developer of prestigious developments in Edinburgh and its surrounds. As they plan for 2024/2025, they are seeking to bring in an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to their business. Our client is extremely bullish about their pipeline of work and can offer a long-term career to an ambitious construction professional seeking to take the next step in their career. With a focus on high-end residential development, both new build and refurbishment, our client can offer a role which will expose you to the full project lifecycle from cost planning prospective developments to delivering them commercially.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor for our client, you will be supported by an exceptional commercial director committed to your development and progression. Your role will expand beyond subcontractor work and will encompass the full range of commercial duties involved in the delivery of complex and high-end residential developments. Your knowledge of the property development process will expand massively, and you will get the opportunity to fully utilise your Quantity Surveying skills. Working closely with your site team, you will be making commercial decisions from day one, adding significant commercial value to your project. Typically, your projects will range from £5million to £15million and will be based in the Edinburgh region.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Our client is seeking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who has been working in residential development previously and has experience of this industry. You perhaps are bored with numerous reports, bureaucracy and lack of control, and you are looking for a role which will allow you to develop fully towards Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in quantity surveying and have a real interest in mid-range property development rather than large-scale volume housebuilding.
