Managing Estimator - Watford
Attention experienced Managing Estimators! An exciting opportunity has just opened up with a leading principal contractor. This contractor work across various sectors, including Student Accommodation, Defence, Education and Healthcare and are looking for Managing Estimator who will be responsible for managing Estimators / Senior Estimators / Regional Estimators in producing analytical cost estimates that reflect the programme, methodology and risk profile developed by the bid team on large scale and complex projects.
Responsibilities: - Ensures all estimates are produced in accordance with the estimating department procedures
- Benchmarks key productivity and cost drivers by seeking feedback from live projects
- Develops knowledge management strategies and systems to support the business units’ strategic vision
- Estimate and produce project and corporate documentation
- Manage and present estimating / tendering information
- Help identify the supply chain based on an informed and well developed understanding of the market
- Oversee the management of the production of papers for use in tender reviews and adjudications
- Manage the production of accurate financial forecasts for use in setting target costs, ensuring deadlines are met
Skills: - Expert knowledge, skills and experience in a previous role required
- Tier One experience required
- Construction related degree desirable
- Relevant driving licence
