Job description
Greenwellgleeson are pleased to be working with a fast growing, high growth business based in the Worcestershire area. Reporting into the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company that is expanding and is offering genuine progression within the next 18-24 months.
This role presents an opportunity to make a positive impact, both through supporting new system implementation and redesign of processes and reports to drive continuous improvement
Responsibilities:

Monthly reconciliation of transactions
*
Reconciliation and production of commission and sales reports.
*
Calculation of payroll and salary reporting.
*
Managing the quarterly VAT returns across the Group.
*
Monthly journal preparation and posting.
*
Manage the costing of stock values.
*
Cashflow reporting and support on cash management.
*
Monthly cashflow variances and forecasting for the Group.
*
Maintain SAGE – new customers/creditors/products/users.
*
Creation of monthly management accounts for the group and individual companies (profit and loss, gross margin analysis, balance sheet) providing relevant commentary and analysis.
*
Explanation of variances from forecast for all gross margin and overhead categories.
*
Monthly reconciliation of nominal ledger control accounts.
*
Helping to ensure that the Company is continuously audit ready with involvement in audit activities and year-end preparation.
*
Supporting with forecasts and budgeting activities.
Skills and Experience
*
Minimum of 5 years Finance experience with ideally 2 years in a similar role.
*
Professional accounting qualification ideally ACA or ACCA, CIMA.
*
Experience of a fast-paced Finance role, including month end management
*
Awareness of accounting treatments, with experience of stock costing and reconciliations
*
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
*
An inclusive and collaborative approach, with a track record of supporting and guiding colleagues in required business practices and processes.
*
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
This role offers Hybrid working, with at least 1 day working from home
