Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a PSV/HGV Engineer to join our established client's team in the North East.


Our client is a bus and coach repair service specialising in mechanical repair and diagnostics.

• Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30

As a PCV/HGV Engineer your role will involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of vehicles. With your duties and responsibilities including:

• Servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs
• Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
• MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to as high standard

To be successful within this role you will have a minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent). Combined with:

• Demonstrated proficiency in heavy vehicle system maintenance and preventative maintenance
• Able to carry out inspections and diagnose faults
• Strive to be an efficient, organized, and disciplined commercial vehicle engineer
• Ability to keep records up to date and of a high standard
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Committed to maintaining workplace safety and adhering to safety protocols
