Job description
The Adult Social Care and Health Training Team is recruiting a Training and Development Consultant.
Based at St Mary’s House, Eastbourne, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary training team which offers a wide range of training to both ESCC staff and the Independent Care Sector. This post offers a suitably qualified and registered professional an opportunity to use their practice experience, organisational and analytical skills to design, plan, deliver, and implement a training programme to meet the needs of staff across East Sussex.
The role will include developing and delivering training on a variety of related topics. Examples include: Mental Capacity Act 2005, safeguarding adults, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Care Act 2014, and self-neglect.
As a change orientated, self-motivated professional with a positive approach, you will have the opportunity to use your operational experience to assist staff to achieve and maintain best practice and achieve competencies relevant to their post. Analysing and monitoring feedback and evaluation from courses, together with consultation with stakeholders (internal and external staff) will ensure course content meets learning requirements.
You will need to be able to work remotely and have a good grasp of contemporary communication platforms and technology. We ensure our people have the tools and support they need including flexible working practices supported by the latest technology.

There will be a two-stage face to face interview. You will be asked to prepare and deliver a PowerPoint presentation and a panel of three members of the Training Team will ask you a series of questions, enabling you to demonstrate your knowledge , skills and experience.
