Job description
My client is a Tier 1 main contractor that is on several water frameworks across the UK. They are working with Thames Water, and have fantastic opportunities for individuals to join their growing delivery team for AMP7 across the Thames Water region, predominantly in the Thames Valley region outside. These roles will play a vital part in the overall success of their business, and you will be joining a growing team with a strong reputation in the UK water industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading, planning and delivering the commissioning and handover of the project ensuring it meets the project programme and budget constraints
- Liaise with the M&E designers, site construction team, subcontractors and Thames Water in undertaking the above
- Managing and optimising value in delivery through standardisation, consistency and best practice and promoting Health Safety, Environmental and construction best practice
- Lead, manage and develop the commissioning strategy, commissioning plan & commissioning programme for the projects
- Ensure the commissioning activities are managed in line with the Thames water framework expectations
- Liaise with Designers/Suppliers/Site Team/Thames Water, site construction team and subcontractors
- Lead, Manage and Assist in producing/finalising commissioning, testing and handover documentation (commissioning manuals & O&M manuals)
- Attending all necessary major meetings and workshops – providing guidance and advice to my client and Thames Water and where necessary generate meeting minutes and actions for those meetings
- Writing & reviewing commissioning method statements and risk assessments
- Putting together maintenance plans/schedules and arranging completion onsite with subcontractors. Compiling test protocol data and reports
Requirements
- Significant experience of commissioning large complex mechanical/electrical and process plants in the Water Industry
- Previous experience working as an electrical authorised person on complex electrical systems
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- Knowledge of Standards, Safety Rules and Statutory Legislation required on the projects
- Must hold a valid Blue Water Hygiene card
