Our international language school is now recruiting qualified English teachers who are patient, professional and passionate in teaching young learners and adults alike. Our students belong to a wide range of age groups starting from 6 year olds up to adults who want to enhance their conversation skills or business communication skills. We currently have over 200 students in two branches in Zhenjiang City. Our staff consists of 7 foreign teachers who are dedicated to providing quality education to students whilst at the same time creating a fun and stimulating learning environment.
Our curriculum follows the Oxford International English program. This program offers professional and intensive training to all our teachers. Our teaching methods follow the standards of Oxford but our teachers are encouraged to be creative in their approach to teaching , making use of various approaches, interactions and activities. Our classrooms are equipped with smart boards and teachers also have access to a wide variety of teaching realia and equipment.
Zhenjiang, known as “The Home of Sweet & Sour”, is situated on the crossway of the third longest river in the world, the Yangtze River, and the longest man-made canal in the world, The Grand Canal. Zhenjiang is close to Nanjing, Changzhou and Yangzhou. The city has a population of 2.67 million and has a land area of 3,847 km2. Affected by the Asian Monsoon and Yangtze River, Zhenjiang has a subtropical climate and distinct seasons.
You cannot miss the magic local food and cuisine such as Zhenjiang Vinegar, Pot Cover Noodles and so on. Zhenjiang cuisine is delicate in taste as well as in appearance. If you are looking to experience ‘the real China’, away from the busy metropolises then Zhenjiang is certainly the place to live like a local and embrace the wonders of Chinese culture.
-Maximum of 25 teaching hours per week
-3-hour admin work per week
-Weekend classes with two consecutive days off during the week
-Lesson planning
-Conduct standard based test to students
-Check students’ homework and exams
-Attend trainings and meetings
-Occasional off-site teaching
-Substitute for other teachers if necessary
-Excellent salary: 8,000 – 10,000 RMB per month (depending on qualifications and total number of classes)
-Optional extra classes: paid 100 RMB per hour
-Airfare allowance provided after contract completion: 1000 RMB
-Housing accommodation provided (fully-furnished two-floor apartment, shared but each teacher lives on separate floors)
-Legal Z-work visa provided
-Medical insurance: The school will pay 30% and the teacher will pay for the rest
-10 days national holidays with 25 paid holidays during summer and winter vacation
-Paid trip within Asia every 3 to 4 months: The school will cover the airfare
-Performance based bonus after contract completion
-Professional training and ongoing support
-Bachelor’s degree
-TEFL certificate required for teachers with less than 3 years of teaching experience (No TEFL? – We recommend INTESOL
-Native English speaker from USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, Ireland or New Zealand
-At least one year teaching experience
-Professional and culturally aware
-Excellent communication skills and passionate in teaching
