SEN Teaching Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant – Hastings – April 2024

Main Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
* Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best possible support for each student.
* Encourage and motivate students to engage actively in their learning.

What Is Required For The Role Of SEN Teaching Assistant?
* A genuine desire to work with children who have special educational needs
* You must be patient, empathetic and resilient
* Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
* You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
* You will have GCSE grades of A*-C in Maths and English ( or equivalent )
