Job description
- Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
- Shifts: Days (Mon – Fri), 37.5 Hours with an early finish on a Friday
- Location: Outskirts of Sheffield
- Salary: Circa.£30,000, depending on experience
- Benefits: Paid Overtime + Generous Benefits Packs
Key Duties:
- Perform complete overhauls and repairs on a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic and gas systems
- Disassemble, inspect, and identify worn or damaged parts, and determine the appropriate course of action for repair or replacement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, with a strong focus on hydraulic, pneumatic and gas systems
- Experience of carrying out manual machining tasks, such as milling and lathe work, to fabricate or modify components as necessary is a distinctive advantage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
- Flexibility to work on-site at various locations as required.
