Job description

We are in need for a After Market Sales Representative, it is preferable that applicants must have proven strong technical and commercial experience / knowledge of the commercial vehicle sector in the UK and Ireland with a particular focus on the bus market, but we would consider applicants with proven commercial experience from a similar industry.


Have at least 5 years commercial experience working in a manufacturing, sales role. Possesses strong technical, communication and proven negotiation skills and has experience of CRM. A degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or business-related subject or equivalent is desirable. Can demonstrate the ability to work to high levels of accuracy within very strict deadlines, can work as part of a team and is able to work on their own initiative.


As this role is home based the successful candidate will be required to travel to our offices in Croydon as well as to our customers throughout the UK & Ireland.


Core responsibilities
• Reporting to the Head of Commercial Vehicles, the postholder will drive the parts and service sales to the bus sector within our commercial vehicles business.
• Support and maintain relationships with OEM's and bus operators to develop all potential opportunities.
• Prioritise and plan regular customer sales visits to promote service and the aftermarket business.
• Prepare quotations for customers as required. Develop and maintain market awareness to generate both new and aftermarket sales opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with the company's risk management procedure. Ensuring that the postholder is responsive to customers, providing prompt and clear answers to queries and requests.
• Assist with new business sales development as and when required by the Head of Commercial Vehicles.
• Provide and maintain a monthly summary of all customer visits and planned monthly visits.
• Represent the company professionally at trade shows and customer events.
• Undertakes any other duties as required.


Professional Experience & Education
• Have at least 5 years commercial experience working in a manufacturing, sales role.
• A degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or business-related subject or equivalent is desirable.
• Customer facing experience essential.
• Negotiation skills.
• Ability to work on own.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good at building customer relationships Industry Knowledge.
• Technical background.

Package Details:-
• Permanent Contract
• 36.5 working week; 08:30 - 16:30 Mon - Thurs, 08:30 - 15:30 Fri.
•£55k - £70k (Salary is dependent on applicant's experience).
