1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Tredegar (NP22)

Hours: Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:30pm)

Pay: £77 per day

Start: ASAP

Job Information:

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil that has Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The student needs a Teaching Assistant to closely support and help within class to stay engaged and manage behaviour. We're seeking strong, resilient, and responsible teaching assistant candidates for this role. The ideal candidate will also assist other teaching assistants and the class teacher to provide a safe and positive environment. Prior experience in working with children is preferred but not essential.

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced Child only DBS that is registered with the Update Service
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council
• 2 Professional Based References

Responsibilities:

• Support and motivate the pupil during the school day.
• Build a trustworthy relationship with the pupil.
• Encourage the pupil to develop their social and emotional needs.
• Assist the class teacher and support staff with general classroom duties.
• Assist in engaging and effective lessons.
• Have a positive and proactive mentality.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
