Job description

Prospero Teaching is seeking to recruit a robust and dedicated PE Teacher, to start in April 2024 for a well-run school in Brent. This would be a long-term maternity cover role.

The successful PE Teacher will have a passion for teaching Physical Education and will be able to motivate, elevate and challenge students to produce the highest quality work and achieve high academic standards.

The ideal candidate:
- Consistently apply the schools' behaviour policy to support all colleagues in establishing high standards of behaviour from students, and in order that students have parity of treatment and expectations in all areas of the academy Can inspire and lead high quality teaching, learning and assessment
- Is dynamic and an ambitious practitioner, who can build on the success of the subject and ensure good progress for all pupils
- Would facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
- Would contribute to raising standards of student attainment
- Has experience of effective teaching and supporting pupils with a range of SEN, behavioural and academic needs.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent (to be offered supply teaching work) - Not essential
- Previous experience working in a UK school would be ideal
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Be willing to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all required vetting checks
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
