This is a great opportunity for a Quantity surveyor to work for a Northeast leading contractor focusing within the Construction sector and civil engineering sector. Dominantly focusing on the plot works for all residential builds, they are looking to expand their commercial team due to their successful tenders looking to start soon. The role will be based predominantly out of their Stockton-on-tees office however will require some site visits
The company has been rapidly expanding over the last 10 years and are looking for an individual to grow with the company with a clear progression scheme offered to further develop the individual's career.
Key responsibilities for this Quantity surveyor role:
- General Contract administration on a bespoke form of contract
- Commercial Management of housing projects,
- Awarding Sub-Contractor packages as required,
- Authorisation of Sub-Contractor Payments and Timely submission of monthly valuations,
- Pricing variations & maximising profit,
- Chasing outstanding monies & reporting to Directors/Commercial lead
Experience required for this Quantity surveyor role:
- 4+ years of experience within a commercial role,
- NEC contractual experience would be advantageous not essential.
- Experience within residential/Commercial Builds preferred however open to other disciplines.
- Valid UK Driving Licence needed.
Package offered for this Quantity surveyor role:
- Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
- Car Allowance of £4800 or Company Vehicle
- Pension schemes match up to 8%
