Job description

The new Sherborne Qatar School for Boys is looking to appoint inspirational, enthusiastic and talented Key Stage 1 & 2 Teachers who have the necessary skills to engage our youngest learners.

Successful applicant must have:

• A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent from a UK University  
• Exceptional subject knowledge, with extensive experience of teaching the British National Curriculum in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. 
• A strong emphasis and desire to be outstanding in teaching and learning 
• Experience of current UK initiatives and developments  
• Experience of Read Write Inc, White Rose Maths (or similar) and Talk for Write (where appropriate)  
• The ability to teach a subject specialism would be advantageous e.g. PE/Games, Music, Drama.

Our preference is always to meet candidates in person as far as possible. We will host interviews in the UK and Doha as soon as possible after the closing date. Where necessary, interviews will be hosted online. Successful applicants will be required to attend an induction weekend in Sherborne, Dorset on 6th & 7th July and travel to Qatar around 21st August 2024 for induction training.
