Job description
Themis recruit is looking for a Life sciences Associate Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE. Our client is known for providing top-notch legal services to clients in the life sciences sector, and we are looking for an individual with a strong background in life sciences law to contribute to their continued success.
The successful candidate will be able to provide business -oriented advice, and will act for SMEs, larger PLCs, multi-national enterprises as well as start-ups, research institutes, charities and spin outs. They will draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, and will provide a full range of IP and commercial and regulatory advice to clients based locally, and further afield in the wider UK sector and internationally including in the US.
- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients in the life sciences industry on a wide range of matters, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property, licensing, contracts, and litigation.
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements and contracts related to life sciences, such as research and development agreements, licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, and manufacturing agreements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in life sciences regulations and ensure that clients are informed and compliant with relevant laws and industry standards. Advise on regulatory strategies and assist in obtaining necessary approvals.
- Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence on life sciences transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, to identify legal risks and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Client Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients in the life sciences sector. Understand their business goals and challenges to provide tailored legal solutions.
- Research and Analysis: Stay updated on legal developments and precedents related to life sciences law. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advice.
Requirements
- At least 3 years PQE
- Proven experience in commercial/ life science
