Randstad is passionate about connecting the right people with the right job and the right job for the right people. Here at Randstad Education we are looking for an experienced and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant who is available on a full-time basis to support a school in Chesterfield.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in assisting the class teacher by providing effective and nurturing 1:1 support to students who may require additional support, including SEN support. The school is in Chesterfield, has achieved a "Good" Ofsted rating, and values equality, inclusion and aspiration. Is this the role for you?

the requirements:

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one through Randstad).
• Previous and relevant experience supporting children.
• Previous experience with 1:1 and SEN support.
• Previous experience supporting KS1/ KS2 students.
• Be proactive and patient.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Committed to working collaboratively as a team.

the responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and activities.
• Support and guide students in their day-to-day learning and development.
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Help students remain focused and inspired towards the lesson plan and activities.
• 1:1 or group support to pupils with additional needs when required.
• Building rapport with students, teachers and parents/ carers.
