The Role of Cabin Fitter:

Reporting to the Regional Accommodation Manager and working at our Grangemouth Depot, our Cabin Fitters are responsible for the joinery work associated with cabins and furniture. In this role you will specialise in setting up our accommodation units to meet the requirements and specifications of our customers. Duties within this role include:

• Fit out, refurbish, and repair accommodation units according to drawings / standard layouts, using hand tools, power tools, saws, measuring instruments, and various equipment where trained to do so.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues
• Preparing and painting accommodation unit
• Ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity & safety.
• Carry out checks including off hires, reporting any damages or shortages on the hire advice.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety regulations & company standards & policies.
• Ensure all work done & parts used are recorded e.g. check lists, chargeable jobs, job sheets.

Do you have the following skills/experience:

• Experience in working in a similar role
• Basic Joinery and plumbing skills
• Strong attention to details while working within tight timeframes
• The ability to ensure to work to high standards, while working in a busy environment
• Be a CSCS Card holder (desirable)
• Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also be able to work on your own initiative
