Job description

CNC Turner£30,610 per annum or £15.91 per hour, plus overtime, Permanent, Keynsham BS31, 33 days holiday, working Monday to Friday 37 hour week , core hours 7.30 - 15.30, early finish Friday, pension, parking.

Our client is an established and highly respected manufacturer who operates a friendly team of engineers and has an opportunity to work as a CNC Turner where you will manage your own workload with jobs allocated from the engineering supervisor.

The CNC Turner role involves:

• CNC Turning
• Manual turning (not essential)
• Working on Colchester lathes
• Machining precision parts and components
• Producing one off's and small batches.
• Reading engineering drawings
• Working to non-aerospace tolerances
• Install software programs into machines via various methods including keying from a drawing and downloading from databases, also undertake setting and operating as required
• Select appropriate materials for each job as described in the drawings
• Self inspect components and report any manufacturing errors to line manager so corrective action can be agreed

The successful candidate is likely to have served an engineering apprenticeship as a skilled CNC machinist. However candidates who are time served in machining could also be suitable if they can demonstrate a suitable track record in manual milling or lathe machining. work is not for the aerospace industry, so tolerances are not quite as demanding as this type of industry.

This would be the ideal role for someone who has worked as a cnc machinist, manual turner experience in any of the following controls would be of interet Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak
