The employer is: MATCHBOX YOUTH CLUB. The person appointed shall work as a member of the Grounds & Building Maintenance team, and be responsible for carrying out ground’s duties under the direction of the Team Supervisor or other centre manager..

Responsibilities

• Setting out, marking and maintenance of all sports and amenity areas.
• Preparation, planting and maintenance of tree and shrub areas, including any associated specialist work such as pruning and minor tree surgery.
• Constructional labouring duties associated with the post.
• Preparation, seeding, turfing and maintenance of grass areas including the upgrading of external facilities.
• Carry out minor works including interpretation of plans, hard and soft landscaping, site preparation and construction.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• English & Maths GCSE or equivalent
• One year's relevant experience of working in a grounds maintenance or building setting.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training.

Desirable Skills

• Leadership skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with young people.
• Willingness to learn and complete relevant training.

Further Information

The employer is: MATCHBOX YOUTH CLUB. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: £8.50 to £10.80 per hour
