Untie People are working with a leading tier one Construction Contractor to hire a Project Manager. The organisation is a main building contractor with reputation in delivering high quality schemes with repeat clients, with projects ranging from £30m - £150m in value.
The company carry out work in multiple sectors; with this particular role focusing on mixed used developments, commercial builds and steel-frame sheds.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and manage Site Management, vendors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements, resolve conflicts, and ensure project objectives are met.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.
- Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing leadership and guidance to project teams to drive productivity and achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
