The role

If you possess significant supply chain experience in a scientific or related industry and are CIPS Level 3 and above, this is an incredible chance to develop your career with an expanding science-based SME with a bright future.


We are now looking for a Buyer to lead our procurement function and take responsibility for negotiating with our diverse range of national and international suppliers, developing service level agreements and managing supplier performance.

• Negotiate supplier terms / Deals & cost prices.
• On Board new Suppliers, Brands & Products.
• Stay up to date with market conditions.
• Manage supplier performance on costing, quality & delivery.
• Plan & place purchase orders based on customer requirements, sales & forecasts.
• Assist in the development & continuous improvement of the supply chain.
• Own the demand planning function in ERP.
• Monitor sales/margin performance, identify variances against budget & implement solutions.
• Manage the lab levelling.
• Manage the monthly/annual stock takes.

About you

• CIPS Level 3 and above
• Proven supply chain experience in a scientific or related industry
• Strong communication, negotiating & organisational skills.
• Used to running demand planning software.
• Proficient in MSOffice.
• Experience of ERP.
