Projects Lawyer 1-5 PQE - Leeds
A highly regarded international firm is looking for a skilled Contracts Lawyer to join their Public Law & Projects team in Leeds. This role offers an unrivalled opportunity to join a successful team advising on high profile and groundbreaking infrastructure and services projects.

The Public Law & Projects team advise public and private sector clients across a range of projects and has a strong reputation acting on projects in the heat networks, waste, health, local government, education and PPP sectors. The team advise on some of the most complex and high profile infrastructure and services projects and have expertise in delivering green infrastructure. Clients include local government, central government departments, NHS Trusts, contractors, funders, universities and other public sector bodies.
As a Projects Lawyer in this highly regarded team, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge initiatives, dealing with ground breaking projects to decarbonise cities to innovative regeneration ventures. You will play a part in negotiating deals that shape cities, drafting contracts and providing legal counsel that delivers necessary infrastructure. You will accurately draft and review contracts, using your knowledge of public sector regulations to navigate complex and high profile contract matters.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of projects from inception, procurement, completion, through to the operational phase including front-end contract strategy, project documentation, contract variation, regulatory matters and risk management across our sectors.
What they're looking for:
- A skilled contracts lawyer with 1-5 years PQE gained within an established practice
- Experience of working with both public and private sector clients
- Ideally experience in the waste & heat networks sector
- A genuine enthusiasm for contract law
- A strong commercial acumen
