Academics are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in the Blackwood, Caerphilly area who have experience in supporting children with Additional Learning Needs.

This opportunity is for a variety of day-to-day supply and short/long-term supply vacancies in schools throughout Caerphilly Borough. Our partnership schools are located:

* Blackwood
* Nelson
* Caerphilly
* Ystrad Mynach
* Bargoed
* Risca
* Bedwas

The main role of a Learning Support Assistant is to assist learners with additional needs throughout the school day, ensuring their active engagement and providing comprehensive support during classroom activities.

Further responsibilities of an LSA:

* Fostering a positive learning environment
* Running small group or independent learning activities with learners
* Providing support to students throughout the school day
* Catering to the individual needs of each child and keep up-to-date knowledge of specific learning differences (SpLD)
* The ability to communicate with both staff, parents and pupils on the progress of students.

What are the requirements as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)?

* Experience working within a Primary school setting
* Knowledge and understanding of specific learning needs.
* An enhanced DBS check
* Registration with the EWC
