This is a leading international manufacturing business with operations across a number of jurisdictions in the EU and overseas, who, due to growth, are looking for a junior and eager VAT Analyst to join their highly regarded indirect tax team. Your new role This role will see you work as part of the indirect tax and VAT team, specialising in technology, data and VAT Compliance, whilst being a good communicator with the wider business and finance teams. Your responsibilities include:
- Compile & analyse data required to complete VAT and duty returns for VAT Registrations across the EU, UK and further overseas.
- Draft VAT, Intrastat, ESL and Excise submissions for EU countries, along with some wider tax work when required.
- Assist on audit transactions within the wider group to provide assurance to senior stakeholders
- Prepare and audit monthly VAT reconciliations for reporting to group finance and the wider indirect tax team.
- To provide advice to the group and wider businesses on EU-wide indirect tax matters.
- Support the VAT & Indirect Tax Manager in ad-hoc projects
What you\'ll need to succeed This role is ideal for an eager, hard-working and career-driven individual who has gained some finance or VAT experience, and is looking to progress further in their career within a global organisation. You do not need to have a specific accounting qualification, although this would be preferred. You must be confident in using technology systems and excel. All VAT specific training will be provided.
What you\'ll get in return - Salary between £25,000 and £30,000, negotiable depending on your previous experience and academic record.
- Hybrid working (2 days at home per week), along with flexible start/finish times around core hours.
- Annual bonus, between 4% and 30% based on company and individual performance and targets.
- 25 days holiday (rising to 28 with service), plus bank holidays.
- 10% company pension scheme, which can be increased over time.
