Job description

A newly expanded Primary School with Kindergarten, located west of the city, only a short distance (10 minutes) from the BTS (Skytrain) with easy access to the world-famous, historic and vibrant city of Bangkok! The area and local community are steeped in Thai tradition, set in lush greenery with a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere.

In August 2024 we will open our Brand new Primary School building, starting with Years 1, 2 and 3, this will be a very exciting time to join our school team.

The school follows the EYFS and UK National Curriculum for children from 2 – 11 years.

We are an award-winning, high profile school receiving the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand, “Outstanding Small Business” award (2018) and the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) “Best International Nursery” award (2019). We are also the only International Kindergarten to be awarded the NDNA’s Platinum level standard "Quality Counts" accreditation.

The award-winning architectural design of the school, along with its educational ethos are profoundly unique and continue to attract government and educational attention from throughout SE Asia. With an exceptionally well-resourced Kindergarten with special indoor facilities, a soft gym, library, ICT facilities and a room for cookery classes. In addition, state-of-the-art outdoor facilities include a swimming pool, splash pool, sandpit, playground, racing track and garden area. Alongside this an newly built Primary School with brand new facilities including, swimming pool, football field, library and music rooms.

Position: Computing/Art/Cover teacher (EYFS/Primary)

Kensington International School seeks a fully qualified, and inspirational Primary School teacher who is an energetic, highly inspired and motivated person. Someone who is passionate about childcare and education and is committed to achieving high standards and creating a stimulating, positive and child-centred classroom ethos. The position is for part time only, commencing August 2024.

Job Role:

The successful applicant would be expected to work collaboratively

with our teaching team in leading forward thinking education for all our students in

number of areas:

- Lead multidisciplinary lessons focused on Computing and Art

- Create and organize engaging ECA opportunities

- Be part of new and exciting curriculum projects.

Requirements:

Native-level English speaker

BEd (Hons) with QTS or equivalent OR University Degree with PGCE

Recent experience working within the Primary Education

Excellent knowledge of the Primary curriculum specifically subjects related to STEAM

Desirable:

Experience of teaching children with EAL

Contract type:

· Fixed term contract

· Competitive monthly salary based on qualifications and experience.
