Bluebird Care Shropshire are now looking to appoint a Care Supervisor to join our fantastic team in Shropshire due to growth. Your role is to ensure our customers receive excellent quality care and support to keep them safe and comfortable in their own homes. Compassion, good communication and organisational skills together with a calm and caring manner are vital for this important role in our company.
Principle Responsibilities:
The supervisor’s role within the live-in care service is essential. Most of the issues that arise between the customer and care assistants are minor and just require immediate attention.
Regular and thorough supervision and great communication are the most influential components to the success of a live-in care package.
Duties Will Include:
A lot of your role as the supervisor is to cultivate the customer and care assistant relationships. You want to build a mutual trust and respect, to ensure the live-in care relationship lasts for continuity of care and care assistant retention.
As a supervisor, you are the key person that links the partnership between the business, customer and care assistants. It is therefore your responsibility to identify any potential issues prior to them developing and mediate an efficient solution.
When you are providing home visits, organise individual time with the customer and care assistants and then time altogether. This will give you a holistic view of life in the home and the relationships between customer and care assistant. You are the key person to navigate this service in the right direction.
The supervisor’s knowledge and understanding of the care package is essential for the office team. The care manager and coordinator will be relying on you to record and report all the relevant details so they can effectively complete their responsibilities.
Effective implementation of customer assessments, care and support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
We also require you to be part of the out of hours emergency line team. This would include some evenings and some weekends on a rotating basis working remotely.
Personal Specification
Hours: 25 hours per week
Monday to Friday: Working hours to be discussed.
Salary: £15,600pa
