Operational Development Lead - Social Impact
Hybrid Working - London (Barbican) | Social Impact & Sustainability | Permanent | Full-Time

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operational Development Lead to join our Social Impact & Sustainability team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency across our social impact initiatives. We're looking for someone with a strong background in project management, process improvement, and strategic planning, with a deep understanding of the social impact landscape.
Within departmental budgets and strategic timelines, you will coordinate and lead cross-function subject matter experts, and external stakeholders, in the design, testing and iteration of various development programmes.
You'll be responsible for ensuring that outcomes meet all requirements and be able to articulate the solution through various approval forums before handing over a front-line ready solution to the Central Operations team for implementation. This role will demand a high level of collaboration across the charity as well as engagement with senior leadership and Executive programme sponsors. You'll also be expected to provide expert analysis on future ways of working and turn problem statements into solutions.
To succeed as our Operational Development Lead - Social Impact, you will have:
Good knowledge of Nuffield operations and associated challenges
Expert stakeholder management skills: able to influence and secure buy in
Strong analytical and conceptual reasoning skills, able to communicate well in writing
and verbally at all levels.
Some experience in designing & completing standard operating procedures & processes.
Strong, credible impact, with a demonstrated capability to resolve conflict; build, maintain and utilise relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Excellent knowledge and proficiency having worked successfully within the acute sector at mid-senior levels
Politically astute and able to connect the dots to deliver outcomes
Good commercial acumen, understands and extremely proficient in optimising outputs
Adept leadership skills gained facilitating large complex and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to think creatively with a positive attitude to change & problem solving.
