Senior Residential Youth Support Worker - £32,563 per annum (Inclusive of average sleep-in payments and attendance bonus)

If the answer’s yes, then your next career step could be working for us. We’re looking for an exceptional person to join us in the first of ten new Children’s Homes in partnership with Homes2inspire Limited, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset County Council.

This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to assist in developing a new service within Somerset, including opening a new 3 bed home and having a key role in the training of staff. The successful candidate will be an inspirational role model for the young person, while supporting, coaching and developing support staff ensuring the highest standards of performance and potential are met.

The Senior Residential Youth Support Worker will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring and supervision of staff, in a professional and competent manner. You will supervise and coach Residential Youth Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers, ensuring that their performance and potential is maximised.

You will be a motivating and resilient person, with the ability to coach and bring the best out of your team.

About the partnership

Homes2inspire Limited, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset County Council have formed a unique partnership to offer homes and support for children and young people within Somerset who have experienced significant trauma and difficulties in their lives. We are creating a different sort of home and care for children and young people which offers them flexibility and support from a full range of people that can help them. This home is part of a wider service we are developing together including, more children’s homes, high needs foster carers, CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services) intensive treatment houses and therapeutic education. Homes2inspire is a leading provider of Children’s Homes with 30 homes across the UK. Our teams strive for excellence for our children.

The partnership is also able to offer wider support and clinical supervision with mental health and social work practitioners. Working as part of a diverse multi-disciplinary professional team offers you the opportunity to share and develop best practice. Being part of this wider team within the partnership will enable you to be part of a different way of making inspirational futures for children and young people.
