Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working on behalf of a dynamic and thriving business based in Borehamwood. Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the success of a growing organisation.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- Contribute to the month end process ensuring output is delivered in line with internal and external deadlines.
- Journal posting, accruals, prepayments and supporting management pack preparation.
- Perform historic balance sheet reconciliation.
- Liaise with outsourced accountants on year end, audit and ad hoc queries.
- Mentor the Assistant Accountant.
- Returns including VAT, WHT and Corp Tax.
- Challenge and build on current financial control processes.
- Support on inhouse platform reconciliation and development.
- Support on projects and process improvement (such as expenses process).
The successful Senior Accountant:- Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within industry.
- Capable of hitting the ground running.
Requirements:- 5 days a week, office-based position in Borehamwood.
