Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join a well-established, growing family-run SME based in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a marketing department for the business (from scratch), aimed at a specific target market in the manufacturing industry.
Marketing manager responsibilities include tracking and analysing the performance of advertising campaigns, managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with the company’s brand identity.
Ultimately, you will help build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about the company and drive qualified traffic to the front door
- Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
- Produce valuable and engaging content for the company website that attracts and converts the target groups.
- Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
- Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely
- Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns
- Analyse consumer behaviour and adjust campaigns accordingly
- Video production where appropriate.
Requirements
- Strategic mindset with a hands on approach
- Confident to take on a ‘sole role’ with a view to growing a marketing department in the future
- Full marketing mix experience (Traditional and digital)
- Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online and offline marketing and measurement
- BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field OR Qualified by experience
Hours: Mon – Fri full time 8am – 5pm – degree of flexibility (part time would be considered)
