Job overview

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse Maternity- who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Gloucester ward is the postnatal ward at the Lister Diamond Jubilee Maternity Unit in Stevenage. Gloucester ward is a busy 27 bedded ward for mums and babies. There are three six-bedded bays, one four-bedded bay and five amenity/side rooms.

Main duties of the job

You will Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients from admission (or before) to discharge, with the involvement of patients and their relatives/carers

Participate within a team of nurse and support workers in providing continuity of patient care, patients physical, social and psychological needs are met

To ensure a high standard of nursing care is performed at all times and assists in the review and regular update of these standard in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct and trust polices

You will Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing collages, the Multidisciplinary Team and all other relevant personnel
