Job Description
The Intercom System Engineer creates specific Intercom product or system solutions based on (project) specific end-user requirements and/or specific vertical needs and supports project tenders and the related execution process. He also provides technical support for a global customer base.
Essential Functions
- Translate end-user requirements into a technical solution with adaption of the standard products for verticals/projects (also considering cross-BU & 3rd party integration requirements)
- Prepare technical concept, system designs for dedicated product solutions and projects on request of sales organizations
- Assist end-users with troubleshooting and upgrades throughout the life of the system (level 2 and level 3)
- Support final installation and commissioning phase (trouble-shooting) as required
- Support Product Engineering Process (PEP) on all defined process steps
- Support sales organization in projects and/or project acquisition phase
- Assist sales in explaining concepts to end-users, influencers and system Integrators
- Support training for sales and customers globally
- Provide guidance and support to MKK to create training material
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical domain or Engineering combined with experience in field related to professional communications
- Experience in technical support / engineering preferably in the Critical Communications which could include Television Broadcast, Corporate AV or Theater.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal using the English language.
- Ability to plan, organize and follow through/implement activities to achieve timely, accurate results, focusing on key priorities and effectively juggling multiple projects.
- Ability to identify problems and root causes, being creative in problem solving, listening to all input, examining all possibilities and remaining open minded.
- Trustworthy and credible. Remains consistent in word and action.
- Up to 50% travel (some international) may be required.
