Class 2 (Cat C) ADR Driver

Job description

We are looking for 3x Class Two (Cat C) ADR tank drivers to join our client at their Newbury depot.  This may suit candidates living in and around Basingstoke, Reading, Tadley, Newbury or Thatcham.

As part of your role, you will be completing multi drop tanker deliveries to farms and commercial premises. The work will be working on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern, starting at around 6am.  No ADR experience is required but you must have your ADR licence in class 2 in tanks. CPC and Digital Tacho card are required. New & inexperienced drivers will be considered for the role.

Pay Rate

£15.71 per hour (basic rate), £17.60 (inclusive of Holiday Pay)

£23.56 (basic) / £26.40 (inc. of Holiday Pay) per hour after the 42.5 guaranteed hours per week.

Rates are PAYE, and paid weekly.

The roles should start as soon as the successful candidates are inducted and initial training completed.

Key responsibilities are:

• Ensure deliveries are made to the customer with a high level of customer service as standard.
• Work in a safe, compliant, and professional manner in line with the client’s operational planning.

What we would like from you:

• Hold Cat C driving licence.
• Hold a DCPC card.
• Current ADR certificate with ADR in gasses Class 2 in Tanks.
• Understand an adhere to drivers’ hours legislation and tachographs.
• Please be aware that some manual handling will be required for this role.
• For insurance purposes, you must have relevant HGV experience, should have no more than 6 points on your licence, and no DD or DR convictions in the last year
