Our Flagship Product

You’ll be part of the team building the next evolution of our innovative, social-casino gaming platform which enables igaming operators in North America to provide customised and fun social-casino experiences to their players easily and quickly whilst adhering to our “do no harm” ethos. Currently we have over 10,000 monthly active users and see over $32million in game play each month.

This role

Within this role, you’ll be responsible for building games for various target platforms based on the Phaser 3 framework. Your primary responsibilities will be to implement game functionality translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging game. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product are essential. Due to the nature of our business, it is also key that candidates are comfortable working within a company which offers gambling products and services.

What You Will Do

This is a key role within our business which is focused on collaborating with a number of individuals across the business to develop a wide range of awesome web based games that deliver great entertainment to our players.

• Working with TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
• Working closely with a team of other programmers, collaborating effectively to develop games for mobile and desktop screens.
• Estimating and planning upcoming features.
• Contributing to the design and direction of our game experiences.
• Providing coaching and guidance to junior developers.

???? Your Skills

We’re seeking a collaborative, positive individual who is dedicated to developing an amazing gaming experience at Ruby Play Network. Personally, you will be an engaging individual who thrives within a team environment.

The required technical skills and experience for your role include:

• We're looking for a Frontend Engineer with strong experience in Web and Mobile Web Games development.
• Strong understanding of TypeScript and/or JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
• Practical HTML5, CSS, and Node experience
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders
• Proficient understanding of code versioning / source control tools, preferably Git
• Good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performance.
• A qualification in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering) OR Professional experience in software development.
• Solid technical skills used in the production of games
• Experience using Phaser would be ideal
