Job description

Achilles is a fast paced, trail blazing company focused on the development of the next generation of personalised T cell therapies to treat cancer. We are breaking new ground with our science - there is no playbook to copy. This means we must innovate, adapt and collaborate across our organisation, working together to solve novel problems.

We use DNA sequencing data from each patient, together with our proprietary bioinformatics platform, to identify clonal neoantigens specific to that patient, enabling the development of truly personalised T cell therapies. Originating from pioneering research at UCL, CRUK and the Francis Crick Institute, we are using our ground-breaking immuno-oncology approach to rapidly advance therapies.

Role Purpose

Provide crucial support to Patient Supply Operations team, coordinating the logistics of a complex clinical supply chain as we deliver cutting edge cancer treatment to in need patient groups.

You will ensure time sensitive patient material is delivered as required and act as a liaison between clinical sites, Achilles GMP team and courier companies.

You will set and support with import and export requirements of patient material moving between UK, EU and USA. 

Responsibilities

• Act as appoint of contact for clinical sites regarding procurement scheduling, couriers, product status and dosing. 
• Manage communications between clinical sites, GMP and logistics companies 
• Track courier bookings and invoices, follow up as required with discrepancies 
• Track patient scheduling in line with manufacturing slots 
• Support with patient registration eligibility checks 
• Assist with preparation and distribution of clinical trial supplies (procurement kits) 
• Raise PO’s as required 
• Any other SCO ad hoc tasks as required 
• Maintain eTMF for clinical trial documentation 

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of 2-year experience working in a supply chain or logistics role. Ideally in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting 
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc, BA or RN equivalent) in biological or life science field 
• Good knowledge of clinical trials 
• Good knowledge of ICH GCP 
• Good knowledge of UK, EU and USA legislation governing tissue and cells is advantageous
