We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Cwmbran, Wales for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
This is a full time position working 4 days per week between 9am and 6.30pm. There is a 1:3 Saturday morning rota working 9am - 12pm. No OOH.

- Hours: Full time 4 Day week working between 9am and 6.30pm. Fixed day off each week.

- Team: 4 Vets and 6 Nursing team.
- Salary: Up to £63,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
The role
- Full time position offering a 4 day week with the same fixed day off each week which is a Thursday, There is a 1:3 Saturday morning rota working 9am - 12pm. There are no OOH.
- The role will involve duties including consultations and surgeries. There will be some sole charge work involved on occasion so the Vet must feel comfortable.
- The Vet will work alongside a team of 4 Vets, 6 Nurses and the practice manager and reception team.
- Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
- The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
- The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

- The practice has recently gone through a refurbishment. They are located within a village in the countryside close to local amenities.
- They are fully equipped with diagnostics including endoscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray, in house laboratory, imaging rooms and dental rooms, two theatres and separate dog and cat kennel.
- The pride themselves on offering case continuity and maintaining strong clients relationships.
- They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
- The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

- A vet with a bias or additional qualifications such as a certificate would be an advantage as the practice would like to continue to develop on services offered to clients.

- The Vet will work well as part of a team.
