Job description
We're currently retained to recruit a Finance Director for one of the most exciting businesses in the region. Privately owned and professional, but run in a very entrepreneurial and nimble way, my client has 20+ sites they're currently operating across. There is a clear plan to increase this to 30 sites by the end of the year, and a medium-term plan (5 years) to get to 70 + sites. In addition to their growing store presence, they are growing their E-commerce and Wholesale arm through their innovative production and distribution facilities.
Due to this continued growth they are now looking to appoint their first Finance Director, to work side by side with the Managing Director (Founder). Responsibilities will include:-- Lead a small but motivated team covering Finance, Supply Chain and Data Analysis to support the ambitious growth plans of the business. - Dashboards play a large part in how this business operates, so an ability to understand how this process works and to challenge the thinking around this is important. - Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals. - Provide strategic guidance on capital allocation, investment decisions, and financial risk management. - Collaborate cross-functionally with department heads to optimize operational efficiency and drive profitability. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including banks, auditors. - Monitor financial performance against key metrics and provide actionable insights to the MD / senior management. An ability to roll your sleeves up, and to get down in the trenches and understand what is going on in the business is absolutely essential for the success of this role.Job tags
