Job description
Parent Network Scotland (PNS) is a national organisation supporting parents to navigate raising children acrossScotland. We work in partnership with 3rd sector organisations, Local Authorities, and grassroots communitygroups to bring our parenting programmes and wellbeing toolkits to communities and to ensure the voice ofparents and families are heard by decision makers and service delivery designers.
At PNS we recognise the strengths of parents and their role in supporting the build of strong and flourishingcommunities where children and young people gain the best start in life and where parents experience the joy ofparenting. This role would include four board meetings a year (including our AGM) (currently a mix of in person and online),along with 3 online 1 hour finance meetings CEO and Finance administrator.
We want our Board to reflect the diversity of the modern communities we work with, and value the benefits of havingdifferent experience and points of view on our Board. We particularly welcome applications from people livingwith a disability or long-term health condition, LGBTQ+ people those from ethnic minority communities.
Governance
PNS is governed by a Board of 7 Trustees, including the Chairperson. We currently have a vacancy for a Treasurer andhave identified that we need specific skills to fill the role of Treasurer.
The Board of Trustees is supported by several committees – HR Subgroup, Fundraising, Strategic Resource &Budgeting and are expected to serve on one of these committees

Trustee Recruitment
Articulate is looking to recruit new Trustees to support the development of the charity's strategic direction,quality assurance, risk management, fund-raising and good governance in line with our ambitious ten-yearplan.
We would like to hear from any interested individuals who have the time and commitment to support our activities. Inparticular, we seek younger applicants and people with care experienced backgrounds and/or with education, humanresources, mental health, IT or capital fundraising knowledge.
We would particularly benefit from input by people with lived experience of the care system and we'd also benefithugely from the guidance of a Trustee from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background*. ACT is committed todiversity and inclusion but at present, we have no Trustees of colour. We are very keen to address this deficitand welcome applicants from ethnically diverse communities.

Free Wheel North needs more Trustees to facilitate its development and growth. The charity exists to enhance mentaland physical health, to regenerate communities, champion the rights of the disabled and to provide personaldevelopment through volunteering. Its means include inclusive cycling, community cafes, art, woodwork andnetworking UK wide on sustainable transport.
2023 has been a record year for the Glasgow Green Cycling Centre with tens of thousands of project users enjoyinginclusive cycling. We need help to accommodate demand. This will be a rewarding journey as we fulfil our missionto replicate our work widely, not only in Scotland but throughout the UK, enabling many more isolated people tocome together in inclusive communities.

Refugee Sanctuary Scotland (Formerly Refugee Survival Trust) provides help for refugees in Scotland who have beenmade homeless and destitute by the asylum system.
Refugee Sanctuary Scotland Trustee - Treasurer (Volunteer):
The Board of Trustee's are responsible for working together to provide leadership, governance and strategicdirection to the organisation. As Treasurer, you will be responsible for managing all financial matters onbehalf of Refugee Sanctuary Scotland and will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation has robustfinancial processes to ensure it meets its legal and constitutional requirements. The Board meets online every six weeks for up to two hours, with some additional time required for financial matters;therefore a commitment of 2 to 3 hours would be required monthly.
Ricefield Arts & Cultural Centre is a registered charity and social enterprise for the exploration and promotionof Chinese culture and has an excellent reputation for delivering original and inspiring creative experiences,cultural events and workshops to community groups, public institutions and arts audiences around Scotland.
We are currently looking to appoint a Treasurer to join our small Board. The Treasurer will be responsible formanaging all financial matters on behalf of our organisation and will be responsible for ensuring that theorganisation has robust financial processes to ensure it meets its legal and constitutional requirements. Itwill also be the responsibility of the Treasurer to report the financial position at the board meetings. Whilewe encourage and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, we are keen to hear from candidates that have experienceof charity financial management or are chartered in a suitable accountancy field.
All Trustees are required to attend monthly board meetings, either at our office located in the heart of Glasgow citycentre or via Zoom. In addition, we ask Trustees to attend our annual board development day, important meetingswith stakeholders and some events and projects, where possible. As Ricefield Arts is a social enterprise, therole also involves serving as our Board of Directors.
Please note that this is a voluntary role. Neither the Trustees nor Board of Directors receive any remuneration,however, travel expenses incurred in carrying out board duties will be fully reimbursed.
